Part of the fast cycle route from Cuijk to Nijmegen is the 2.15 km long stretch between Zadelmakersdreef in Cuijk and Lindenlaan in Mook.

The predetermined contract sum is 12 million euros. This includes 25 years of maintenance of the bicycle-pedestrian bridge over the Maas. The cycle path of this part of the fast cycle route runs parallel to the existing rail connection between Nijmegen and Venlo. The bicycle-pedestrian bridge with a width of 6 meters and a steel main span of approximately 145 meters and abutments with a total length of approximately 215 meters will be positioned at a distance of approximately 20 meters from the existing railway bridge. The contract also includes a viaduct over the N271 and the connection to Veldweg.
An important award criterion in the tender process was the architectural and landscape design. Together with Quist Wintermans Architects and Karres + Brands Landscape Architecture, Den Ouden Civiele Betonbouw and HSM submitted a design that was assessed by a special committee as attractive, recognizable and well thought-out.
