Client: Gemeente Meierijstad
Execution period: March 2019 t/m January 2021
Commissioned by the municipality of Meierijstad, Den Ouden Groep carried out the “Refurbishment of the Erp”. This work involved an N-road that was tackled over a length of 4 km. The construction structure and pavements are designed to absorb vibrations and sound, so that local residents experience less nuisance from freight traffic. Thanks to our phasing, we managed to keep adjacent companies with frequent transports fully accessible.
Important features of the new road are: maximum speed of 50 km/h, preservation of the existing priority scheme, no speed bumps and the use of soundproof paving.
In the context of climate adaptation, water storage and infiltration has also been realized under the road surface of 7800m3. Plants have also been installed.
Sustainability
Attention has been paid to sustainability on all fronts, both in the construction phase and in use and management. In addition, extra attention is paid to the accessibility and accessibility of the facilities in the bowl and to limiting the nuisance for residents and entrepreneurs.
