Product properties

Native Conifer Bark (formerly known as Pin Sylvester) is made from native coniferous trees such as Pin Sylvester or Douglas. Not only does Native Conifer Bark protect the soil against frost and weeds, but as a protective layer it also reduces evaporation of moisture from the soil. This makes moisture available to the plant for longer and more easily. In addition, Native Conifer Bark is suitable as a raw material for potting soil, where it ensures structure improvement and a higher water buffering capacity. The bark has an odour-absorbing effect, which makes it extremely suitable as ground cover in animal shelters.

Processing instructions

When used as ground cover in public gardens: apply Native Conifer Bark in a 5cm layer. When used in animal enclosures: apply Native Conifer Bark in a 30cm layer.
