Product properties

Lava is a volcanic igneous rock with properties that offer advantages for tree granulate. During the compaction of the rock, a stone skeleton with hollow spaces is formed. When it rains, the rainwater easily runs into the soil. Water is absorbed by the hollow structure of the lava and made available to the tree roots. The skeleton bears the pressure of the hardening and a beautiful finely branched root system grows in the hollow spaces. In this way, growing places are created that have extra water storage capacity in verges or under cycle paths.

Quality

Tree granulate Lava 16-32 BRL is produced and delivered with the BRL 9341 quality mark. This means that Tree granulate Lava 16-32 meets the strictest quality requirements, including the requirements for a non-shaped building material from the Besluit bodemkwaliteit.

Processing instructions

Do not apply during frost or in wet conditions. Apply at least 10 cm above GHG / groundwater level. Apply in layers of maximum 30 cm and compact with a plate compactor or Wacker rammer. Final degree of compaction 95 – 100%.
