Den Ouden Organic en gemeente Meierijstad werken samen

Den Ouden Organic en gemeente Meierijstad slaan de handen ineen in de transitie naar verduurzaming van potgrond en substraten.

Over Den Ouden Organic
Soil
Bio-based

Den Ouden Organic and municipality Meijerstad are joining their forces in the transition to making potting soil and substrates more sustainable. While the municipality will collect the prunings from private individuals in the outlying areas in March 2023, Den Ouden will process this into substrate raw material that serves as a peat substitute for potting soil companies. With that we deliver, along with the municipality and the residents, a contrabution to a lower CO2-footprint of potting soil and Substrates.

Den Ouden takes the municipal prunings and processes them at its production site De Vlagheide in Schijndel until the prunings are compost with the RHP- label. RHP-label is a natural,100% organic and circular substrate raw material. Potting soil companies use the RHP compost as a peat substitute in potting soil, among other things. In addition,RHP compost is a raw material for your own soil substrates for use in public spaces.
