Bio-based

We use products such as potting soil, tree bark, substrates, compost and garden soil to organize our soil properly and healthily. These products are divided into the categories soil cover and soil improvers. Handy, but what do we mean by ground cover plants? And what does soil improvers include? The difference is explained for you below.

Soil improvers

Soil improvers are products that promote soil fertility. They are applied in the top layer of the soil. Examples are substrates, fertilized garden soilquality compost en RHP-compost. By using certified types of compost, the organic matter content in the soil is maintained and this stimulates soil life. Ultimately, plants and crops are better nourished and a rich, natural environment is created. The application of soil improvers is very wide: from small garden layouts to growing large quantities of fruit and vegetables. Even more benefits of soil improvers:

✔️ Improvement of air management in soil, resulting in good root development.

✔️ Excellent water buffering so that plants always have access to moisture.

✔️ Sustained, even release of nutrients

Ground covers

The name actually says it all: a ground cover is a product that is applied on top of the top layer. Concrete examples are wood chips and various tree barks. The use of ground cover plants has many advantages. Thus it protects the top layer from drying out and excessive evaporation. It also prevents the growth of weeds and has a shock-absorbing effect in areas of application such as playgrounds and parks. In addition to playgrounds and parks, ground covers are used in footpaths, roundabouts, bus lanes and other non-food environments.

We supply pure, organic soil improvers and cover crops for every area of application. Our compost types are provided with the RHP quality mark, which stands for the highest quality! We can put together specific mixtures, tailored to your crop growth.
